Public Space Vending Program may get a much needed facelift?
In the last couple years there has been a real effort by the City to manage and regulate their public space vending program. They've made some progress lately toward conceiving and implementing a public-private partnership that will transform what is currently an eyesore and disservice to the city's residents and visitors. It is currently in City Council Committee but we will keep you informed on it's progress. The ADNA Board heartily supports this effort. Fulton County Proposes New Reduced (?!) Millage Rates
The
Fulton County Board of Commissioners has proposed 2008 millage rates
equal to the 2007 rates. Because the Board is not proposing a full millage
rate rollback, it will hold public hearings in accordance with
state law.
The
public is invited to a public hearing to be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 10 a.m. Fulton
County residents may attend the meetings in person at the Government
Center Assembly Hall, 141 Pryor Street, Atlanta, and via video conference
from the North Fulton Government Service Center Auditorium, 7741 Roswell
Road, Sandy Springs, and the South Fulton Government Service Center
Auditorium, 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, College Park.
