Have you been by the former Macy's lately?!  Exciting RETAIL things are going to happen and you will get to hear all the  RETAIL details at the next ADNA meeting Tuesday June 10.  Tell your friends - a strong turnout tells the developer that we're ready for them to bring RETAIL shopping back downtown!

Also, put this date on your calendar: Friday June 27, and plan to enjoy a fabulous rooftop view from the Glenn Hotel at the next ADNA Happy Hour! Starts at 6:30pm.

Next ADNA Community Meeting Tuesday June 10, 6:30pm:
Retail is coming to 180 Peachtree Street!

The next regular ADNA community meeting will feature a presentation by the 180 Peachtree Retail Group, and will include artist's renderings and plans for renovating this beautiful space into a destination specialty mall, followed by a tour of 180 Peachtree!  Let's let them know what kind of retail we'd help support!  Meet your neighbors at 6:30pm at the Central Atlanta Library, Lower Level (corner of Forsyth and Carnegie Way.) Take the Woodruff Park Programming Survey!

Central Atlanta Progress is finalizing a Master Plan on Woodruff Park and would like your comments. Please take a minute to look over this survey and let them know how they're doing with programming options in the Park.

Public Space Vending Program may get a much needed facelift?

In the last couple years there has been a real effort by the City to manage and regulate their public space vending program.  They've made some progress lately toward conceiving and implementing a public-private partnership that will transform what is currently an eyesore and disservice to the city's residents and visitors.  It is currently in City Council Committee but we will keep you informed on it's progress.  The ADNA Board heartily supports this effort. Fulton County Proposes New Reduced (?!) Millage Rates

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners has proposed 2008 millage rates equal to the 2007 rates. Because the Board is not proposing a full millage rate rollback, it will hold public hearings in accordance with state law.

The public is invited to a public hearing to be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 10 a.m.  Fulton County residents may attend the meetings in person at the Government Center Assembly Hall, 141 Pryor Street, Atlanta, and via video conference from the North Fulton Government Service Center Auditorium, 7741 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs, and the South Fulton Government Service Center Auditorium, 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, College Park.
